Yogurt Design
March 2026

Overview

This project involved creating packaging for Flo-go, a premium yoghurt product designed around healthy eating and convenience.

I created strawberry and vanilla flavours and developed the packaging around the idea of something that could still feel indulgent while clearly communicating its health and nutritional value.

Problem

The main challenge was finding a balance between healthy and premium.

Health-focused packaging can sometimes feel too clinical, while more indulgent yoghurt packaging can lean heavily towards desserts. I wanted Flo-go to sit somewhere between the two: something appealing enough to feel like a treat, but still suitable for someone looking for a healthier option.

The different flavours also needed to be easy to recognise without looking like completely separate brands.

Solution

I used a fairly minimal cream base with dark graphic areas and flavour-specific accent colours.

For the strawberry version, red illustrations and typography make the flavour easy to recognise, while information such as 12g of natural protein and the health rating stays visible instead of being pushed into the background.

The Flo-go wordmark gives the product more personality, while the cleaner surrounding typography keeps the rest of the packaging readable.

The same overall structure could then be carried across the other flavours without redesigning everything from scratch.

Reflection

This was one of the projects that made me realise I genuinely enjoyed packaging design.

It made me think more about how quickly packaging needs to communicate. Someone should be able to understand the brand, the flavour and the main selling points almost straight away.

If I developed it further now, I would create a wider product range and refine the information hierarchy even more, especially the nutritional messaging and how the range would look together on a supermarket shelf.
